Dato’ Ir. Abdul Nasir Abdul Razak, aged 53, is the General Manager of Planning and Development, MAHB. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, USA and a Masters of Science Degree in Integrated Construction and Project Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the Member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia with more than 30 years of experience in infrastructure planning and development, both in the Government and private sector.
He started his career in the Public Works Department in 1982, working in the oil and gas sector. He then worked for several years in Singapore, in the high-rise building construction before joining MAHB in 1993. He has held several senior positions in engineering field before assuming his current position.
He is a Certified Value Manager, Senior Fellow of Global Innovative Knowledge Network (GIKEN), Member of Malaysian Institute of Management Malaysia (MIM), Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). He is currently the Superintending Officer (SO) for the new permanent LCCT (klia2).
His past involvement includes being the Director of Public Relation for IVMM, Project Manager for the current LCCT at KLIA as well as the Project Manager for the National Airport Master Plan (NAMP) Study. He leads the team of VM specialists for the successful implementation of VM at MAHB. One of his initiatives is the launching of the VM Manual, which is currently used as a reference for VM practise in Malaysia.
